About the project:
The second exhibition project in the former Rehbrücke seed storage: A concrete giant, built as part of the industrialization of agriculture in the GDR, has been unused for 30 years.
23 collectives question the potential and limits of what we have in common. The storage offers space for the aesthetic examination of today's actions and thinking about the center, the periphery, the global south, ecology, gender issues, the fight for resources such as air, water, land, peace and the weekend.
How can the individual, the primary unit, be questioned as an owner, consumer, employee, egoist? The exhibition seeks to redefine the individual. Can we understand again that we are already connected? Where do we remain disconnected? What do we share? What does this make indivisible?
Initiated by Jenny Alten, Lea Budzinski, Udo Koloska and Phillip Langer
A project by artifact e.V. in cooperation with Mike Geßner | Kunstraum Potsdam.
